About this event

This talk explores the amazing diversity of wildlife found in Devon meadows with tips on how to manage and create habitats for them in any size plot from gardens to large fields.

Across the country wildflower meadows have all but disappeared - 97 per cent of them have gone over the last 70 years - and with them the wildlife that are dependent on them: birds, bees, butterflies, moths, beetles, crickets, grasshoppers and much more.

If you’d like to know more about wildflower meadows, the incredible diversity of life they support and their importance in nature’s recovery, then join us on the evening of 9th March to find out more.

John Walters is a hugely knowledgeable field naturalist, illustrator and author, and consultant on many BBC radio and television programmes, including The Living World, Springwatch and the One Show.

There will also be a short introduction by a South Devon meadow owner on how they created and manage their meadow.

The talks will be followed by a Question & Answer session.

This talk is free. Reserve your place by booking now as places are limited.
